AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has changed his mind on Yunus Musah’s future. He was keen to keep the USMNT player but that’s no longer the case with Adrien Rabiot in Milan’s sights.
If Rabiot arrives, Allegri will let Musah go and Atalanta are reportedly ready to jump im, (according to MatteMoretto).
Musah joined from Valencia last summer and proved to be a useful choice, thanks to his ability to play multiple midfield positions.
But Allegri, who knows Rabiot from their time at Juventus, believes the Frenchman is a better fit within his style of play. This leaves Musah in a more uncertain position, as we head into the end of the transfer window.
Why Yunus Musah Could Leave Milan This Summer
Atalanta is moving fast to take advantage. Reports say they are preparing a €25m bid and talks have already taken place with Milan. Musah has also agreed to the move so the deal can go through before deadline day.
This would add ever versatility to Atalanta's newly appointed manager Ivan Juric's midfield. And it would free up space and resources for Milan to sign Rabiot, a player Allegri trusts.
Other clubs, including Napoli and Nottingham Forest, were linked to Musah earlier in the summer but Atalanta now look the most serious. With the clock ticking on the window this is one to watch.
If the deal goes through, Musah will continue his Serie A career in Bergamo and get valuable minutes ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
