Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is happy working with teen Ethan Nwaneri.

The pair have been working together this week at Arsenal's Germany preseason camp.

Nketiah said, "I remember being in that situation. I'm not old myself, but I've played a few seasons now so it's just about giving them confidence. They all have quality otherwise they wouldn't be here, so I try to remind them of that and give them the confidence to express themselves. They all did well when they came on even if it was a tough game, I think they showed flashes of the quality they have.

"It's all about positivity. Knowing how far we came last season and how far we can still go. We're all motivated and it's been a great week training. There were good parts of the game today so we're looking forward to the rest and the start of the season."

On Arsenal's change of status to being title contenders, Nketiah says the pressure remains the same.

"The mentality is the same - we always want to win every game we can and prepare well for them," he said. "We don't think about the outside noise at all. We're locked into what we can do and improving each day. We've got a really good group around the club and with the fans as well so hopefully we can push and have a good season.

We're focussing on the here and now but it's every kid's dream to play in the Champions League - mine included," he added. "I'm really looking forward to those nights. I want to prepare well in pre-season so I'm ready for those kinds of games when they come up. It's an exciting time to be an Arsenal player and hopefully we can have a great season."
