Chelsea are ready to let striker Tammy Abraham join Arsenal on loan in order to speed up the sale, according to reports today.

It appears that Abraham wants to stay in London, but as of now, his £40m club valuation is putting potential suitors off, even though he does have plenty of interest.

Now, according to Andy Dillon of The Sun (who does have a pretty reliable history), Chelsea are ready to loan Abraham to Arsenal for the season with an obligation to buy him for £40m at the end of the season, thinking this will speed up the sale so that they can then focus on signing a new striker themselves.

This would of course immediately free up Abraham’s wages, and then guarantee the fee arriving for him next summer.

Chelsea would then be free to go ahead with their massive offer to sign a top striker target, largely believed to be either Erling Haaland or Romelu Lukaku.
