Ahead of the upcoming season, Milan want to reinforce the squad with another midfielder, as Soualiho Meite has left the club. However, it seems they might have a capable player in their squad already.

Tommaso Pobega recently returned from what was a very successful loan spell at Spezia, scoring six goals and assisting an additional three goals. And in the friendly game again Pro Sesto, he did well even in the holding midfield role.

According to MilanNews, Milan are evaluating the idea of keeping Pobega as the fourth-choice midfielder for next season. Pobega wants to convince Stefano Pioli and has been training very well at Milanello, eager to stay at the club.

The youngster will only leave if another midfielder arrives and if an offer of €12-13m arrives. Certainly, it would save the Rossoneri some time if they decide to keep Pobega, who has shown that he’s capable of performing well in Serie A.
