Bruno Febandes is unarguably the star of the Manchester United squad, routinely leading by example as the club’s captain.

Now, the Portugal international has been recognised by the Premier League for his recent performances.

Taking to X, FutSheriff has reported that Fernandes has been awarded the Player of the Month award for March 2026.

Throughout last month, the 31-year-old helped his side with two goals and four assists, as The Red Devils held onto third-place in the league, firmly in the driving seat for a Champions League spot for next year.

On 1st March 2026, Fernandes was vital for United as his goal and assist to Benjamin Sesko resulted in a win over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.

After that, on 4th March 2026, The Red Devils travelled to Newcastle United, unfortunately suffering their first and only defeat under Michael Carrick, however his cross to Casemiro saw United pull the game to 1-1 before William Osula scored in the dying moments.

Eleven days later, United hosted Aston Villa at Old Trafford on 15th March 2026, seeing The Red Devils grab a 3-1 win as he set up both Brazil internationals Casemiro and Matheus Cunha.

Finally on 20th March 2026, a trip to Bournemouth saw Fernandes open the scoring after linking with Cunha, however the game ended in a 2-2 draw heading back to Manchester.

As such, Fernandes is still showing how important he is as questions of his future at the club continue to stir.

Last season a £100 million move to Al-Hilal was on the cards, however he rejected the move to keep with the United project, a move which United fans all round are sure to be happy about.
