Messi revealed that he does drink alcohol for a good time away from the pitch, and many fans found it funny when he described what he does to get drunk.

Messi states that he drinks wine with Sprite by saying, "I like wine. And if not the usual one, I prefer wine and Sprite together so it hits faster."

Messi's Impact on Drink Market Value

Lionel Messi's statement about drinking wine with Sprite has helped Coca-Cola with their market value by a noticeable percentage. Coca-Cola currently owns Sprite, for which the company saw positive results.

Messi's liking of Sprite with wine boosted Coca-Cola's stock by 4.5%. It generated a $12.9 billion increase in market value over the last few days.
