English midfielder Dele Alli has terminated his contract with Serie A side Como, as reports from Italy claim the former Tottenham Hotspur playmaker will now be available on a free transfer.

According to what has been reported by Sky Sport journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Alli will depart the club just nine months after joining.

Alli made just one appearance for Cesc Fabregas’ side, coming on as an 81st minute substitute against Milan at San Siro. His debut was one to forget, however, when the midfielder was sent off just ten minutes later after a poor challenge on Rossoneri player Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Dele Alli a free agent after failed Como spell

Now, Alli will once again look for a new club.

The opportunity at Como came nearly two years after the midfielder had last made a proper appearance, after the one-time highly rated star saw his career decline rapidly. After being billed for great things at Spurs, a subsequent move to Everton saw Alli make just 13 Premier League appearances in three seasons.

His Como move looked like a second chance for the former MK Dons man but things failed to work out once again and the 29-year-old will be available on a free transfer.
