The U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team returns to the field after winning the SheBelieves Cup. Today they will play the first of two consecutive friendlies against South Korea, in preparation for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Emma Hayes will make her debut as the team’s coach. The former Chelsea FC manager will use these matches to help determine the roster for the Olympic Games.

South Korea, which did not qualify for Paris 2024, is coming off two consecutive friendly victories against the Philippines, with scores of 3-0 and 2-1. The South Koreans have never beaten the USWNT in their 15 encounters, recording 11 losses and four draws. Interestingly, all these matches were friendlies played in the United States.
