Italian journalist Paolo Condo has blasted Inter Milan for failing to sign Ademola Lookman from Atalanta during the summer transfer window.
According to Condo via FCInterNews, the Nerazzurri have failed to address a key issue as they let La Dea scare them off.
Inter’s interest in Lookman dominated the headlines during the summer.
Indeed, the Serie A runners-up spent most of the transfer window vying for the Nigerian forward’s signature.
However, there was no end product as they withdrew from talks in mid-August.
Ademola Lookman was Inter’s top target for the best part of the summer.
Yet, Atalanta’s unwillingness to negotiate the sale of their standout performer eventually prevailed.
Indeed, Inter had to tuck their tail and change priorities despite their strong desire to land the versatile forward.
For that, Condo handed Inter’s transfer activity a meager 6+.
Moreover, he believes the Nerazzurri had to turn talks over Nicola Zalewski’s transfer into their advantage.
However, Beppe Marotta chose to pull the plug on Inter’s long-standing pursuit of Lookman.
