Inter Milan failed to sign Ademola Lookman in the summer despite putting significant pressure on Atalanta to sanction the transfer. 

According to Corriere dello Sport via FCInterNews, Inter’s activity in the transfer window has earned them a high degree.

Indeed, despite failing to sign Ademola Lookman, the Nerazzurri made several exciting signings.

The arrival of Petar Sucic could set Cristian Chivu’s midfield up for years to come.

Furthermore, Luis Henrique and Ange-Yoan Bonny are undoubtedly upgrades on Joaquin Correa and Marko Arnautovic.

Inter signed Manuel Akanji on deadline day to put the cherry on top of a decent-looking transfer window.

However, failing to lure Lookman to San Siro remains one of Beppe Marotta’s regrets.

Indeed, the Nerazzurri invested considerable time and energy to engineer this deal.

Unfortunately, they never stood a chance as Atalanta showed no interest in selling the Nigerian after offloading Mateo Retegui.

Despite that setback, Inter did well this summer and seem well-prepared for the season ahead.
