Karim Cassim officially signs for Manchester United

Manchester United have confirmed the signing of Karim Cassim, with him becoming the club’s newest signing.

The Red Devils’ action to sign Cassim follows a busy summer transfer window where, impacted by the departure of Casemiro, a recruitment drive in midfield took place.

That drive saw the club sign Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans, and Carlos Baleba, all on permanent deals.

Like that trio, Cassim is also a central midfielder and could come good for Manchester United in the coming years.

United’s statement announcing the signing, posted on their official website, goes into detail about the midfielder and reads: “Manchester United have agreed the signing of exciting youngster Karim Cassim.

“The England youth international has joined after leaving Manchester City.

“The 17-year-old was part of the City side that won the FA Youth Cup last season.

“On the international front, the central midfielder has been capped up to England’s Under-17s.

“Everyone at the club would like to welcome Karim to United and we wish him the very best of luck.

Cassim’s arrival follows the signing of fellow midfielder David Eze, a deal which was reportedly completed earlier this month.

It also comes after the signing of 18-year-old Cristian Orozco, an agreement that was reached last year before being confirmed in this year’s summer transfer window.

For Manchester United, this latest recruitment drive appears promising.

With exciting midfielders signing for United, both at senior and academy level, it is clear to see the effort the club are putting into improvement.

Now it is down to those midfielders to demonstrate their talent, play well for Manchester United, and deliver success to the club.
