There was worrying news for Lazio when Taty Castellanos limped off during their Serie A clash against Napoli suffering from a muscular injury.

The centre-forward suddenly went down clutching the inside of his thigh at the 24th minute and initial reports would suggest an adductor problem.

Eager not to risk doing further damage, the striker immediately hobbled off the field and straight down to the dressing room of the Stadio Olimpico.

Castellanos a big loss for Lazio

Lazio were therefore down to 10 men for a couple of minutes while Tijjani Noslin got ready.

It would’ve been Boulaye Dia taking his place, but the former Salernitana forward is struggling with an ankle knock and not fully fit either, so Noslin is being used somewhat out of position.

Now the Aquile are waiting for test results to see how bad the damage is and if Castellanos can be ready for their next match against Venezia, then the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-final with Inter on February 25.

He is their top scorer this season with 12 goals and eight assists in 29 competitive appearances.

Lazio were already facing Napoli without Matias Vecino, Elseid Hysaj and Patric.
