Lazio to Play Eredivisie Side FC Twente in a Pre-Season Friendly Next Month

Lazio will face Eredivisie side FC Twente in a pre-season friendly next month.

As seen in a post on Lazio’s Twitter page earlier today, Maurizio Sarri’s side will face the Dutch club in a pre-season friendly on Saturday 7^th August at 7:30pm local time, in the De Grolsch Veste in the Netherlands.

The Biancocelesti’s pre-season will begin tomorrow, when the squad depart for their training camp in Auronzo di Cadore. They will stay there until 18^th July, when they will return to Rome briefly before heading off to Germany.

Twente finished 10^th in the Eredivisie last season with 41 points, 30 points behind 3^rd place AZ Alkmaar.

Sarri will use the pre-season friendlies this summer to fully evaluate the squad and his players, looking to finalise a mostly consistent starting 11 before the start of next season.

Certain players are expected to be key players in Sarri’s 4-3-3, including Luis Alberto, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ciro Immobile.
