Lazio will face Eredivisie side FC Twente in a pre-season friendly next month.

As seen in a post on Lazio’s Twitter page earlier today, Maurizio Sarri’s side will face the Dutch club in a pre-season friendly on Saturday 7th August at 7:30pm local time, in the De Grolsch Veste in the Netherlands.

The Biancocelesti’s pre-season will begin tomorrow, when the squad depart for their training camp in Auronzo di Cadore. They will stay there until 18th July, when they will return to Rome briefly before heading off to Germany.

Twente finished 10th in the Eredivisie last season with 41 points, 30 points behind 3rd place AZ Alkmaar.

Sarri will use the pre-season friendlies this summer to fully evaluate the squad and his players, looking to finalise a mostly consistent starting 11 before the start of next season.

Certain players are expected to be key players in Sarri’s 4-3-3, including Luis Alberto, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ciro Immobile.
