Milan have returned to their pursuit of Saint-Etienne defender Wesley Fofana in a concrete way, according to a report.

The media has been awash with speculation regarding the Rossoneri’s upcoming mercato in the past couple of days, with the likes of Dominik Szoboszlai, Sandro Tonali, Luka Jovic, Patrik Schick and Dusan Vlahovic all linked.

However, it is expected that the defensive department will also be focused on, with Mateo Musacchio and Leo Duarte facing uncertain futures, as well as Simon Kjaer and Matteo Gabbia – the latter of whom could be loaned out.

According to, Milan are back in for Fofana of Saint-Etienne, a player that they have been following for some time.

The club’s leaders have let the Ligue 1 side know the amount they intend to put on the plate for Fofana. The amount of the Milan offer is not filtered, but is considered significant by the French club and sufficient to start the negotiation.
