Napoli secured the services of Argentine talent Francisco Baridó, 17, from Juventus on deadline day.
Napoli director Manna reunited with Argentine attacking midfielder Baridó on deadline day as the 17-year-old joined the Partenopei from Juventus.
Manna, a former Bianconeri director, brought Baridó to Turin in February 2024 from Boca Juniors. The Argentine talent spent barely a year at the Allianz Stadium, where he didn’t even make his debut for the NextGen squad.
According to Gazzetta, Juventus had big plans for the 17-year-old but failed to reach an agreement over a new deal beyond 2026.
The pink paper claims that the new Juventus management refused to match the requests from the player’s agents, leaving room for Napoli to enter negotiations with Baridó and bring him to the Stadio Maradona.
Baridó had played for the Juventus U16 and U17 squads and was supposed to play under Simone Padoin in the Primavera squad this season.
According to Gazzetta, even Barcelona were interested in Baridó when he joined Juventus last year, but the promising attacking midfielder will now continue his career at Napoli.
