Tottenham announce surprise decision regarding Daniel Levy future

Tottenham Hotspur have announced that Daniel Levy has now stepped down from his role as Executive Chairman.

Levy has been in the role for nearly 25 years, and his exit will come as a major surprise. He has been criticised heavily during his time as the executive chairman. Following his departure, Daniel Levy said: “I am incredibly proud of the work I have done together with the executive team and all our employees. I was lucky enough to work with some of the greatest people in this sport, from the team at Lilywhite House and Hotspur Way to all the players and managers over the years.

Tottenham have undergone an overhaul

The North London club has undergone a number of changes at the boardroom level in recent months. Vinai Venkatesham was hired as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Peter Charrington, who joined the board, will now step into the newly created role of Non-Executive Chairman.

Despite his limitations, Levy did an exceptional job of improving the club commercially and delivering the state-of-the-art Stadium.
