Tottenham could return for 18-goal star in January, €65-70m offer would get deal done

Tottenham Hotspur were very keen on signing Morgan Gibbs-White from Nottingham Forest during the summer transfer window.

They were prepared to trigger his release clause as well, but Nottingham Forest were disappointed with the way confidential information regarding his release clause was leaked. They took a strong stance and blocked any potential exit for the midfielder. The 25-year-old ended up signing a new contract with the club.

Spurs to return for Morgan Gibbs-White?

However, a report from CaughtOffside claims that Tottenham have not given up on the player. They could look to test the waters again in January.

The report claims that an offer of around €65-70 million could be enough to get the deal done. It remains to be seen whether Tottenham can sign the player.

There is no doubt that he is a quality performer, and he would improve them going forward. He is capable of operating centrally as well as on the flanks. He will look to help create opportunities for his teammates with his passing and vision. He will also look to score goals from the midfield.

He has 18 goals and 29 assists for Nottingham Forest.

Can Tottenham accommodate Gibbs-White?

Tottenham have done well to improve their attacking unit during the summer transfer window, and signing the 25-year-old could be a bonus for them. However, it will be interesting to see how they accommodate him in the starting lineup. They already have players like James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, and Xavi Simons capable of operating in a similar role.

The 25-year-old midfielder will not want to sit on the bench at Tottenham. He will need a guaranteed starting role, and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

There is no doubt that he is a quality player, and Tottenham would do well to secure his signature. It will be interesting to see if they are prepared to spend a substantial amount of money on a player who might not be a guaranteed starter for them.
