Jessica Pegula Confirms Details About HBO TV Series Hard Knocks

“I only watched the first episode. I’m not in it,” Pegula clarified with a laugh. “A lot of people asked me if I was in it. They film it so quickly, like they film it and then they’re already editing for the next episode. The turnaround time is pretty crazy.”

She went on to explain that her father is prominently featured in the opening episode, including a tour of the Bills’ stadium with the lead actor of Hard Knocks Josh Allen. “My dad’s in it quite a bit. In the first one, they did a stadium tour with Josh, which was so funny,” she said during her podcast The Player's Box.

What amused Pegula the most was that fans assumed she had inside access to the team’s facilities and plans — when in reality, she learned about the upgrades just like everyone else watching the show.

“People were asking me, ‘How’s the stadium coming along?’ And I was like, I literally haven’t even seen or done a tour ever,” said Pegula.

“I just saw it on the first episode of Hard Knocks. So, I basically know the same amount you guys do,” Pegula admitted. “But it’s going to be pretty cool. That’s exciting.”

While Pegula remains focused on her US Open campaign, her off-court personality continues to shine through — offering fans a rare glimpse into the intersection of her tennis career and her family’s NFL ties.
