LCK 2025: NS Must Dominate BRO to Prove a Point

The LCK postseason begins with Nongshim Redforce taking on BRION. It will be the first meeting between the two teams since Week 8 of the LCK back in May. It is also the first time we will see a Legend Group team battle a Rise Group team. NS struggled to find their footing against the best teams in Korea. Can they still prove they deserve Legend Group Status against BRO?

LCK 2025: Nongshim Versus BRION Start Times

The series between NS and BRO starts at 1:00 AM PT (10:00 AM CET). It is the first Bo5 of the second half of the LCK season and will be significant groundwork for both teams moving forward.

Nongshim Versus BRION Recent Match History and Head to Head

NS has played against BRION four times in the LCK this year. Every time, they emerged victorious, only losing one game in total. It is the first time this year they are playing against each other in a Bo5.

During Rounds 3-5, NS did not win a single Bo3 series. They only won two games out of a possible twenty-six during the Legend Group. BRO had more success during Rounds 3-5, having a 6-6 series score and 15-16 game score. Of course, that is against weaker competition, so it is not vital to take it into account.

Nongshim Must Prove Legend Status

Nongshim finished Rounds 1-2, one series win behind T1 in third place. At the end of Rounds 3-5, that gap extended to ten. They were the weakest team in the Legend Group. Given their competition, it is not a surprise. GenG, T1, and HLE are among the best teams in the world, while KT has shown positive signs against the top three. NS comes into the series with a point to prove. They must dominate BRO to display the gap between the Rise and Legend Group and show they still deserve their spot.

Will the BROtax Pay Off

The BRO fans have given it their all this season to keep BRO competitive. They had inconsistent performances in Rise Group. Their highs saw them dominate DK, while they crumbled against weaker competition. DK is a team that has been competitive with NS earlier in the year, and BRO will need to reach those same highs in this series. Did the BRO fans spend too much of their BROtax earlier in the year against DK, or is there enough left to take down NS?

Nongshim Versus BRION Prediction

NS 3-1 BRO

BRO should be competitive in this series, but the individual plays and experience from the Legend Group will prevail. NS might be on a loss streak, but there are enough positives to take from Rounds 3-5 to say they will beat BRO today. BRO’s inconsistencies will likely be on display. They should take at least one game from the series, but keeping the same level of competition is unlikely for the third-place team in the Rise Group.

Upcoming Matches

The winning team of the series moves one step closer to advancing to the Playoffs. The loser is not out of the competition. With the loss, however, the loser will be two victories away from the LCK Playoffs stage. NS and BRO’s next opponents will be either Dplus or FearX, depending on the results.
