Rumors are circulating that a new Overwatch Mobile Game will be coming soon. According to Money Today Broadcasting (MTN), a new mobile game and a Starcraft IP are in the works. The new Mobile Game will likely be a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) variant. Below, we discuss all the information we know at present, with more likely to emerge in the coming days.
Many South Korean developers have vied for collaboration with Blizzard on the new StarCraft IP. Nexon, NC, and Netmarble have all competed for the license, but according to MTN, Nexon has won the preferred bidding rights. The collaboration will be the first time Blizzard collaborates with local South Korean game companies.
The bidding rights apply to the StarCraft IP and the Overwatch Mobile Game (dubbed ‘Overwatch 3’ by South Korean developers). The exact type of game the Starcraft IP will take is still unknown, with many expecting it to be a real-time strategy game. However, it must compete with the power of StarCraft and StarCraft 2. The Overwatch Mobile Game will likely be MOBA-esque, similar to League of Legends’ Mobile Game: Wild Rift. Blizzard wants the Mobile Game distribution rights to lie solely in Korea and Japan, taking into consideration any South Korean gaming companies that wanted global rights.
No official date exists for the news surrounding the Overwatch Mobile Game or the StarCraft IP. Given Blizzard’s usual desire to keep information behind closed doors for extended periods, we will likely not get that information soon. Stay tuned for more updates on Total Apex Media. Remember that all information regarding these products is rumored and could change at any time once official updates are released to the public. If this is true, gamers all around the world will be very excited.

The Solstice Event for Destiny 2 has not received many changes in the past few years. In 2025, Bungie has overhauled most of the gameplay loop for the Solstice Event. The Solstice armor and its glows are back, so you still have ways to earn them. However, the EAZ and bonfire bash are gone, and players can participate in any activity to progress in the Solstice event. Destiny 2 Solstice Event Changes The Bonfire Bash activity, which involved players lighting a Bonfire, is no longer playable during Solstice. Instead, Solstice modifiers have been added to Portal activities, which increase reward score. Solstice weapons and armor drop from most Portal activities. The tier level depends on Guardian Rank and player Power Level. The drops are a higher tier than expected. Players between 300 can drop tier 4 and 5 Solstice gear. Lastly, the armor crafting is significantly faster, with four Solo Ops being enough to craft and two Solo Ops to add a glow. Destiny 2: Solstice Quest To kick off the event, players must go to Eva Levante in the tower. The questline is as follows: Complete a Portal Activity with Solstice Modifiers, or complete a Solstice Scorched Crucible Match. Claim the first reward from the Event Pass. Acquire 100 Solstice Alloy from Activities Forge a piece of Solstice Armor. Claim the first Solstice Triumph. Return to Eva Levante. You will get another questline, which requires you to get Solstice Alloy, craft Armor, and their glows. Destiny 2: Acquiring Alloys Every event in Destiny 2 grants players Solstice Alloys. Solo Ops 25 Alloys Fireteam 32 Alloys Pinnacle 56 Alloys Crucible 15+ Alloys The most efficient way to farm Solstice Alloys is in Solo Ops with the Caldera or K1 Logistics activities. Both take around five minutes or lower if you are efficient. Destiny 2: Modifiers The 2025 Event has its modifiers that increase the reward score for Portal activities. Firesprite Fancy Picking up a Firesprite creates a Solar area around you, scorching nearby combatants. Collecting additional Firesprites increases the area affected. Dreaming Brighter Solstice weapons with the “Dream Work” origin trait deal increased damage. Class Healing Heal yourself when using your class ability. Fired Up Dealing damage and final blows from Solar sources raises a heat meter. Once full, your weapons will cause Solar explosions. Igniter Precision hits against scorched combatants cause ignitions. Radiant Joy While Radiant, final blows spawn Firesprites. Collecting Firesprites will cure you. Solar Slide Sliding after sprinting for a short time creates a scorching Solar wave. Solar Storms Solar fireballs occasionally spawn when defeating combatants. Solar fireballs rain down death and destruction while advancing towards you. Destiny 2: Event Rewards Weapons There are three weapons available for players to earn during the event: Yeartide Apex – Solar Lightweight Submachine Gun Fortunate Star – Void Precision Combat Bow Festival Flight – Strand Area Denial Grenade Launcher The event pass and reward shop offers: Ghost Projections, Ascendant Shards, Ascendant Alloys, Holofoil Solstice weapons, and more. Seal For players who have completed the Seal in the past, you do not need to do the majority of these triumphs and only need to focus on the last four. Like a Phoenix Unlock your first piece of Solstice armor during the “Celebrating Solstice” quest. Forged in Sunlight Unlock all of the Lustrous armor for your class. Knight of the Solstice Reach event rank 15. Solstice with Yourself Complete Solo Ops activities with Solstice modifiers active. Solstice Vacation Complete Fireteam Ops or Pinnacle Ops activities with any Solstice modifier active. Heat of the Crucible Complete Solstice Scorched activities. Around the Sun Complete activities with unique Solstice modifiers active. Beneath the Sun Achieve at least a B-grade performance in any Portal activity with at least one Solstice modifier active. Sublime Glow Imbue a full set of Sublime armor with Incandescent Ingots. Hero of the Solstice Reach Event Rank 30. Sunlight’Em Up While wearing a complete set of Lustrous armor imbued with Incandescent Ingots, complete a dungeon, a raid, or Portal activities at Master or higher difficulty, or win rounds in Trials of Osiris. A Sunny Score Achieve an A grade performance in any Portal activity with at least one Solstice modifier active.
The Green Bay Packers are not done adding wide receivers. The team drafted Matthew Golden and Savion Williams, signed Will Sheppard, but also added another rookie—Isaiah Neyor, a big-bodied, undrafted receiver who had signed with the San Francisco 49ers right after the draft. Neyor spent three months in San Francisco and had a quiet training camp, which led to the team's decision to waive him, but it was enough time to catch the attention of star tight end George Kittle. Going back to June, in an interview with Bussin' with the Boys, Kittle talked about Neyor. "He's a good kid. I like him. He's a freak. He is really tall, and I watched him running a route, he got like nine and a half yards in two strides," Kittle mentioned. "It was insane. We watched it like ten times in the tight end room. We were like, how is he doing this? It's funny." The rookie has an insane athletic profile. He's 6-4, 218 pounds, and ran a 4.43 40-yard dash. With a 9.97 incomplete Relative Athletic Score, he had elite size, explosion, and speed grades—but no agility testing information. "If you're that tall, just make plays and do well on special teams. Right?," Kittle added. "At the bare minimum, you should make the practice squad." Positional battle With two weeks of training camp gone, Isaiah Neyor will have a hard time to make the 53-man roster. The Packers have Golden, Williams, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, and Dontayvion Wicks as locks. Veterans Mecole Hardman and Malik Heath are also ahead of the rookies. Even players like Cornelius Johnson and Julian Hicks, who spent last season on the practice squad, have a natural advantage. Christian Watson is expected to start the season on PUP, so he won't count against the 53-man for at least four weeks. However, both undrafted rookies (Neyor and Sheppard) have a real shot at making at least the practice squad. In Neyor's case, the 49ers expected him to be around—so much that they guaranteed him $259,000 as an undrafted free agent signing. But with injuries all over the wide receiver room, the Niners needed spots for veteran guys—they have players like Robbie Chosen, Russell Gage, and former Packer Equanimeous St. Brown on the 90-man roster. As a consequence, they lacked space for developmental pieces. With two drafted rookies in Jordan Watkins and Junior Bergen, Neyor became an afterthought. On the Packers, though, the rookie will have another chance to prove that George Kittle was right.
Over the past couple of years, the WNBA has seen a major uptick in ratings and overall fan engagement. Unfortunately, that has also come with negative attention. It may have reached a new low, as there have now been three separate incidents in which a fan has thrown a sex toy on the court. This time, it nearly hit Indiana Fever veteran Sophie Cunningham during a matchup with the Los Angeles Sparks on Tuesday. Cunningham had already joked about it on social media, and given her outspoken nature and reputation as a bit of an instigator, she didn't shy away from it: She also laughed it up on her Instagram story: Sparks head coach Lynne Roberts, however, didn't think it was a laughing matter. Following the game, she put the fans on blast for their "stupid" behavior. "It's ridiculous. It's dumb. It's stupid," Roberts said, per Yahoo Sports. "It's also dangerous, and you know, player safety is No. 1, respecting the game, all those things. I think it's really stupid." There's no place for any of this in sports, much less in women's sports. The league needs to crack down on this and take the necessary measures to prevent it from happening ever again. The WNBA is finally thriving after years of surviving, and while the fans will eventually grow to respect the product, not all publicity is good publicity.
Despite boasting a core of elite contracts that include Connor McDavid, Leon Draisaitl and Zach Hyman, the Edmonton Oilers saw their overall contract value rankings take a hit in a recent article by The Athletic. Dom Luszczyszyn looks at every team and its contract situations each season. The Oilers ranked 8th overall, but that dropped them down the standings, largely due to the new eight-year, $3.9 million AAV deal handed to forward Trent Frederic. In a recent analysis evaluating NHL contract efficiency, Frederic’s deal earned a D-grade — one of the lowest marks handed out — alongside the much-maligned Darnell Nurse contract. He was signed to the new deal this offseason after arriving to the Oilers via a trade at the deadline. Injured, but in the lineup for the playoffs, he wasn’t exactly the most effective forward. The Oilers believe he has a lot more to give and GM Stan Bowman bet on the forward. Frederic’s extension, which carries a modest annual cap hit but stretches through 2033, is projected to offer just a +20.1% positive value while delivering a -$15.2 million total surplus over its duration. Frederic’s ranking is particularly glaring when placed next to the six A-grade contracts on the Oilers’ books. No other forward has a grade lower than a C. The team also has four different A-grades, an A for McDavid and an A+ for Draisaitl. Combined with team-friendly deals for stars like McDavid and Draisaitl, Edmonton remains one of the league’s most efficient teams in terms of contract value. Will the Oilers shed either of these bad contracts? According to this ranking, Frederic and Nurse deals are two glaring liabilities. Don’t expect the Oilers to move off either contract anytime soon. Bowman said of the Frederic deal: “…he’s a very unique player with the skillset that he has. He’s a big guy, he’s a physical player, he’s not afraid. He’s got that intimidation factor where he’ll go to the other team’s bench and challenge anybody, like stop messing around with our group. That’s something that I find, you either have that or you don’t. … And he’s scored, you know, he scored what, 18 goals twice in a row at a fairly young, younger age. So I think he’s got the game in him. And I think when you add all that up, it comes down to he’s a very unique player. It’s not like if we passed on Frederic, we’ll just go get so-and-so, who’s maybe a little different, but the same type of player. Not a lot of guys like that out there. They just aren’t anymore.” As for Nurse, there was talk that the Oilers approached him and others about their no-move clauses, and Nurse declined to waive his. The hope is that he elevates his game, and with the rising salary cap, his deal doesn’t look like such an albatross. With several key contracts set to expire soon — including McDavid’s — and questions lingering around term for others, the Oilers need to be cautious with long-term commitments. As it stands, the Frederic deal is a warning sign that not every extension is created equal, even on a Cup-contending roster.
