Internet Reacts to Azzi Fudd’s WNBA Debut Dud

Azzi Fudd’s WNBA career did not start off on the right foot.

Fudd’s 3 points are the worst of any No. 1 pick’s debut in twenty seasons.

Four No. 1 overall picks played in the game between the Wings/Fever (Aliyah Boston, Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, and Azzi Fudd), with Fudd scoring the lowest amount of the group.

Meanwhile, Olivia Miles, the No. 2 overall pick in the WNBA Draft behind Fudd, put up all-star numbers in her first game.

With discourse already surrounding Dallas’s choice of Fudd at No. 1, the debut did not help her public reception.

Was Fudd the right pick for the Wings?
