Despite not having Caitlin Clark on the court, the Indiana Fever still managed to hold their own to take down the Minnesota Lynx to win the WNBA's Commissioner Cup.
The Fever scored 18 unanswered points in the second quarter, and they never took their feet off the gas en route to a 74-59 win.
Needless to say, Clark's absence made the Lynx heavy favorites ahead of tip-off, with the home side as 10.5-point underdogs.
That's why Fever star Lexie Hull had to have the last laugh. Following the game and after partying hard in the locker room, the veteran guard took to Instagram with an epic reaction.
She shared some sleepy face emojis, essentially calling out those who slept on her team.
Clark missed her third consecutive game because of a groin injury that has forced her to miss eight games this season.
The Fever are just 8-8 in the regular season, which is why coach Stephanie White appreciated this win without Clark, as the team needs to learn how to get by without their best player:
"Learning to play without her, learning to make big plays in tough moments on both ends of the floor, is important," White said. "That's going to pay dividends down the stretch of the season for us. Caitlin is somebody who has oftentimes made plays for them, and they're learning how to do that for one another."
There's still plenty of basketball to be played this season, and just like Hull said, it's time to stop sleeping on this team, even if Clark can't suit up.
