New York Liberty forward Leonie Fiebich wrapped up her FIBA Women’s EuroBasket campaign on Sunday by pouring in 20 points, grabbing four rebounds and dishing out three assists in Germany’s 81-70 victory over the Czech Republic.
Going a perfect 10‑for‑10 from the free‑throw line and hitting two triples, Fiebich helped Germany secure a strong finish just outside the top four, capping a tournament where she averaged 14.8 points, 6 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.
Shortly afterward, Liberty guard Natasha Cloud took to social media to let her teammate know exactly how she felt.
Posting on X, Cloud wrote, "Proud of you captain Bring your [expletive] home ," reacting to the news that Fiebich would soon be heading back to New York City.
A native of Landsberg, Germany, Fiebich broke into the international scene as a teenager, winning silver with Germany’s U‑16 squad in 2016 and gold at the U‑18 Europeans in 2018, where she made the All‑Tournament Team.
After being selected 22nd overall by the Los Angeles Sparks in the 2020 WNBA draft, she signed with the Liberty in 2024.
In her rookie WNBA campaign last season, she earned valuable playoff experience off the bench, helping New York to its first championship, averaging 6.7 points, 3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 20.9 minutes per game.
Overseas, Fiebich claimed back‑to‑back Spanish League MVP honors (2023, 2024) and lifted the 2025 Spanish League title with Valencia Basket.
With EuroBasket now behind her, Fiebich will return to New York refreshed and battle‑tested, ready to slot back into Sandy Brondello’s rotation.
