Chicago Sky star Rickea Jackson might have been sidelined from basketball, but she continues to command a lot of attention away from the court.
Jackson turned heads on social media with her latest Instagram post, where she shared a series of photos with a simple caption, “Bad Habit.”
The post, which was shared on September 18th, quickly went viral and got more than 80,000 likes and 1,700 comments in its first 48 hours. Fans have flooded Jackson’s comments section with a lot of reactions to her appearance.
“Oh myyyy goodnessssssss,” one fan wrote.
“So pretty,” another added, while another reacted, “Good Lordy
.”
Other fans got even more creative with their praise. One called Jackson “The reason the sun rise in the morning,” while another wrote, “Detroit women always got motion
.”
Another fan suggested Jackson could easily pursue another profession outside basketball, commenting, “The
Barbie, you should be Modeling
.”
Jackson has established herself as one of the WNBA’s most recognizable fashion personalities. The 25-year-old has regularly used her Instagram to showcase outfits and lifestyle content, as her pre-game appearances have also given her an opportunity to display her personal style.
Her latest post going viral is particularly notable because Jackson has spent most of the 2026 season away from the basketball court.

Jackson’s first season with the Chicago Sky was abruptly cut short as she suffered a torn ACL against the Minnesota Lynx on May 17th. The non-contact injury occurred when her knee buckled while she was driving toward the basket. She later underwent surgery in June and was ruled out for the rest of the season.
It is a very difficult setback, considering how well Jackson had started her Chicago career.
The Sky acquired Jackson from the Los Angeles Sparks in April in a blockbuster deal that sent two-time All-Star Ariel Atkins in the opposite direction. Chicago saw Jackson as one of its foundational pieces next to Kamilla Cardoso and Skylar Diggins.
Through four appearances this season, Jackson averaged 18.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.8 blocks in 29.5 minutes per game. Before the injury, she scored 22.0 points during her first full game, which might have even put her on an All-Star trajectory.

Chicago’s performance after losing her further showed her extreme importance. The Sky started 3-1 with Jackson before struggling badly without one of their primary offensive weapons. And they have since gone 12-16 to close out the season
Her focus is now on getting healthy for 2027, and Jackson has continued to maintain a visible presence while working through a lengthy rehab process. Her ACL rehab even attracted attention when she and members of the Sky staff bedazzled her medical ice machine.
Jackson’s latest social media post shows that injury has not diminished her ability to generate attention. Basketball remains the priority as she works toward returning to the court, but Jackson’s growing profile also shows that her personality extends beyond what she does during games.
With more than 80,000 likes in two days, her “Bad Habit” post provided yet another example of the considerable reach that she has built away from basketball.
