An incident at an indie wrestling show at the weekend has been the talk of the industry for the last few days for all the wrong reasons. Wrestler Syko Stu, real name Stuart Smith, was attacked by Raja Jackson, son of UFC legend Rampage Jackson, and has been left hospitalized. An update on Smith's condition has revealed the extent of the injuries suffered by the wrestler.

Syko Stu Has Been Left With Broken Facial Bones And Missing Teeth

Doug Malo has shared an update on Smith. If you have seen the clip of the attack - I would strongly recommend against seeking it out, and it will not be shared here - Malo is the wrestler with the pink hair who drags Jackson off of Smith. Malo's actions may have saved Smith's life as, after landing 22 unprotected punches on an unconscious Smith, Jackson showed no indication that he was about to stop.

Malo has revealed that the attack has left Smith with broken facial bones and a lot of missing teeth. The wrestler also has no memory of what happened, although Smith's brother noted in a prior update that he can remember bits and pieces. Malo also revealed that Smith was choking on his own blood and teeth while knocked out in the ring, becoming very aware in that moment that there were children in the crowd. Smith remains in hospital, and there's a GoFundMe page that has been set up so that people can contribute to the wrestler's growing medical bills.

What Led To Raja Jackson's Attack On Syko Stu

How exactly this all happened, and why it got so out of hand so quickly, remains a hotly debated topic. Smith reportedly hit Jackson in the head with a beer, after which there's footage of another wrestler from Knokx Pro Wrestling, the promotion running the event, telling Jackson that he'll be able to get his receipt on Smith during the show.

It seems that the wrestler didn't quite comprehend just how angry Jackson was, nor did Jackson seem to fully understand what the term receipt means in pro wrestling. Apparently, the slam to the mat was planned, but the punches that came after were not, obviously. The promotion was affiliated with WWE before the incident, but any mention of WWE has since been removed from its website.

As beaten up as Smith is, it's a miracle that this attack didn't result in an even worse outcome. Jackson is an MMA fighter, and 22 unanswered punches with no way to protect yourself could have killed Smith, or left him with permanent damage, which might still be the case.
