Here Are Your Key Moments From Tonight's WWE Monday Night Raw For September 1, 2025

  • CM Punk is in the loading dock area and tells Adam Pearce he's staying right there until Seth Rollins shows up, however long it takes.
  • Jey Uso opens the show, discussing his loss in the main event of Clash in Paris. He said he should have minded his own business during Roman Reigns' match, but one thing he doesn't do is play about his family. He calls out Seth Rollins and The Vision and tells them all to come down, but LA Knight appears instead. Knight says he believed in himself last night and believed he would be World Heavyweight Champion but that he stands in the ring as a loser instead. He tells the crowd that Rollins is in the shadow of his wife, and blames Uso for spoiling Knight's chances and that he doesn't understand that this whole situation could have been prevented. Knight says he's tired of not being World Heavyweight Champion and that if Uso's going to stand in his way, he's going to catch him up quick. Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker appear to interrupt the segment, and the only thing that Uso and Knight should be concerned that Paul Heyman isn't there, and no one is there to hold them back. Breakker and Reed challenge Uso and Knight to a match in the main event, and the two accept.
  • Adam Pearce appears to announce the match that will determine the next Women's World Champion: Stephanie Vaquer vs. IYO SKY at Wrestlepalooza, the first PLE on ESPN.
  • Rhea Ripley appears backstage with Cathy Kelley to discuss the IYO SKY and Stephanie Vaquer match. Ripley says she respects both women, but she hasn't taken her eye off the prize and will challenge whoever wins for the championship. Asuka and Kairi Sane interrupt, and Asuka tells her to stay away. Ripley tells Asuka not to push her, and Asuka tells her she'll push whoever she wants.
  • CM Punk appears before the main event, after being told by Adam Pearce that Seth Rollins is already in the building. He tells Rollins that this show does not run on his watch, and that he's hijacking the show until he gets in the ring with him. Rollins' music hits, but Becky Lynch appears in his place. Lynch tells Punk she's the man he's going to have to deal with. The crowd chants "AJ Lee" and responds by telling the crowd to stop chanting for "a dope that doesn't work here". She says it's personal for her with Punk as the greatest man she's ever known, to which Punk calls him a coward. Lynch says it made her angry when the crowd chanted his name instead of hers during her matches and didn't care about her work. Rollins appears and tells Punk to come get him if he wants some, and as Punk chases him, he leaves the entrance. Lynch begins to smack and push Punk and tells him to leave. Punk tells her he's going to make Rollins wish he never cashed in, and that she'd regret ever putting her hands on him.
  • At the conclusion of the main event, Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker put the boots to both Jey Uso and LA Knight. Reed delivered a massive Tsunami Splash to Jey, and was ready to give him another until Jimmy Uso ran to the ring to make the save, steel chair in hand.

The World Heavyweight Championship Picture Remains Dynamic And Competitive

One of the most exciting things on a weekly basis on Monday Night Raw is the World Heavyweight Championship picture, and even after the fallout of Clash in Paris, it remains healthy, competitive, and dynamic. After brutal losses for all three men, Jey Uso, LA Knight, and CM Punk continue to jockey for position as the face of Raw on Netflix.

With each person having a proper gripe and stake in gaining (Knight) or regaining (Punk, Uso) the Big Gold 2.0, it's anyone's game right now, and there's nothing more exciting on the show than this four-way dance. With The Vision firmly in control of the Monday night scene, and with both Sami Zayn and Penta out of the picture for now, the volley between Jey Uso, LA Knight, and CM Punk continues to provide the most compelling story on Monday Night Raw as the foils to Rollins, his stable, and to each other.

Why Stephanie Vaquer Should Win The Women's World Championship

We now have our Women's World Championship match set for Wrestlepalooza, and one of two women will be the next champion: Stephanie Vaquer or IYO SKY. While SKY has held the championship, it feels like it's time to crown Vaquer the new Women's World Champion and set the course for a new path in Naomi's absence.

Vaquer feels like the best option to start this long-term story build, as she's consistently been the most popular and entertaining performer in the women's division since being called up from NXT. Her win sets the table for a Punk/Uso/Knight/Rollins-type feud between SKY, Vaquer, Ripley, and Naomi when she eventually returns to reclaim what's hers, and also gets us closer to the proper Rhea Ripley/Stephanie Vaquer match, hopefully by the time we hit Survivor Series: WarGames this November.
