WWE RAW on Netflix 9/1 Results: Becky Lynch Slaps CM Punk, Bronson Reed Takes Out Jey Uso

WWE is wrapping up their multi-event takeover at the Paris La Defense Arena with tonight’s RAW-after episode following yesterday’s ‘Clash in Paris’ PLE in the same venue. The crowd lived up to its reputation as one of the best live audiences in wrestling today, and it did not let up tonight in Paris, despite an early afternoon start time in the States.

Last night’s show unleashed a bevy of storylines and programs while delivering huge on the in-ring action, but the anticipation for the aftermath of Becky Lynch joining her husband’s faction as the newest member of “The Vision” and using her debut to help Seth Rollins retain her title. In fact, with Logan’s performance, Rusev and Sheamus tearing the house down, and the Roman Reigns write off, you could argue that the red brand made the most waves in the Paris PLE.

CM Punk

The crowd popped all night for their favorites, and Punk is still one of the most beloved faces in the company despite his admission that his beef with Rollins has gone far enough for long enough. He called Rollins out immediately, and he readied himself when the music hit: ‘BURN IT DOWN.’

However, it was Becky Lynch who entered through the curtain, much to the disappointment of Punk. Rollins’ music stopped for seconds, and Lynch did not utter a word before the crowd began chanting “AJ LEE,” the wife of Punk, who is rumored to suit up again to assist her husband after a decade removed from the sport and the company.

The promo battle was actually really cool as Punk was forced to maneuver around the physical inferences of promos between superstars, but Becky was brilliant as well. Becky told Punk that Seth is not the only person in her family hurt by his actions, but the gut punch was when she harped on fans chanting Punk’s name during her matches, which she admitted made her feel like the fans did not care about what she was doing.

“You are not the voice of the voiceless, you are the poster child of apathy,” Becky said to Punk.

The promo was impassioned from Becky, but Punk admitted to understanding the magnitude of his own star power.

“They chant my name if I work here, if I don’t work here, they chant my name if I’m in catering or in this ring, and they chant my name when I’m champion and not champion,” Punk relayed to Becky before running down the list of all the Euro spots that Punk got over in during this latest leg of the tour.

Rollins made his way out through Gorilla eventually, though he left his wife in the ring with Punk all by herself, and when Punk attempted to confront Seth, Becky stood in his way repeatedly. Seth was back through the curtain before Seth could get to him, and that is when Becky slapped Punk repeatedly in an attempt to get a reaction from him.

Punk stared at Lynch, pissed off that he had to refrain himself, and Becky belittled him as he exited the ring, but only after he told Becky ‘she would regret putting her hands on him.’

It feels almost certain that AJ Lee will return to aid her man in his current predicament.

C’est La Vie… But Don’t Say YEET

The show kicked off by highlighting the two superstars plagued by the ‘what ifs’ of last night, and Jey Uso came out to say nobody ‘puts their hands on my family’ while simultaneously acknowledging that his banged-up ribs heading into the ‘Fatal Four-Way’ main event title match likely cost him the title. Jey’s taped-up ribs were the result of him trying to help Roman from the post-match beatdown at the hands of ‘The Bron Brons.’

Jey, dressed in all black, did not Yeet despite the ruckus crowd’s reception for him, and he certainly did not appreciate LA Knight answering his callout of The Vision. Knight complained that Seth’s successful title defense could have been prevented with an agreed-upon partnership that was terminated after taking out Rollins.

It was not long before Breakker and Reed came out with the former carrying the brunt of the promo work at first, claiming they were ‘a couple of dogs off the leash’ with Heyman banged up from the guilton choke Roman slapped on him following his singles match win over Reed. They also made mention of Roman ‘being in the hospital’ after he was hit with a storm of Tsunamis and spears. The main event pitted the face team of Jey and Knight against Reed and Breakker.

Main Event

The match was booked for one reason and one reason only: to introduce Jimmy Uso into the feud in a desperate situation that would force his hand. Jimmy, also in all black, held Jey’s head following the post-match beatdown from Breakker and Reed, who each landed a spear and Tsunami on Jey before his twin brother made the save.

Jey’s lifeless body was held up by his brother Jimmy, and that is when Jey said, “I need you, Uce,” admitting he cannot stave this faction off all by himself, especially with Roman on the shelf. The rumors of a Uso reunion have been circulating since the summer began, and now it appears to be official.

Dominik Mysterio(c) vs. AJ Styles—Intercontinental Title

RAW GM Pearce announced last week that Dom would have to defend his IC title against AJ Styles once again after a reign defined by its lack of title defenses. Styles had things well in hand when he hit the brain buster on Dom as he set up for the Phenominal Elbow, but that is when El Grande Ameircano interfered to help Dom retain his IC title and the title of ‘King of the Luchadores’ as he gears up to challenge for the AAA Mega championship once more.

Peace In The East???

The team formerly known as Kabuki Warriors has been feuding for weeks. Specifically, Auska and Kari Sane have had issues with Iyo Sky, stemming from some misunderstandings that arose from Sky’s relationship with Rhea Ripley. Sky confronted the two Japanese standouts, Auska and Sane, and the two just laughed off the heat as if it were all water under the bridge. It has been noticeable that Auska has maintained the leading role, and Sane mostly follows her lead. With Auska clearing the air, the Kabuki Warriors were able to defeat The Judgement Day’s Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez after Auska locked her submission on Perez for the tap-out victory.

Later in the evening, Nikki Bella was congratulating Sky for her upcoming title shot, and that is when Auska came in hot, again, giving Sky the business for being friendly with the Bella. Auska is pushy these days, and both Sky and Sane seem completely under her thumb right now. Not one segment later, Rhea Ripley was being interviewed backstage regarding her burgeoning friendship with Sky when Auska entered the frame with Sane by her side. Auska claimed that Rhea isn’t a real friend and that her only desire is to manipulate Sky into a title match before she’s even won it.

The whole scene blew up with Sane standing in silence before Auska screamed at her to get her attention.

Women’s Vacant World Title

Adam Pearce announced in a prerecorded video that Stephanie Vaquer and Iyo Sky will compete for the vacant RAW women’s world title at ‘ Wrestlepalooza’ on September 20 after Naomi announced her pregnancy and title relinquishing last week.

Other Tidbits/In-Ring Action

  • Finn Balor defeated Dragon Lee, with the assist going to JD McDonaugh for providing a timely ref distraction. Balor and Lee traded huge stomps, but it was Balor’s Coup de Grais to the midsection that would be enough to keep the luchador down.
  • Grayson Waller finally got his chance to actually team with The New Day after weeks of pledging the faction like a fraternity at a college that lets anybody in, but they took on The War Raiders and Penta in six-man tag action. The faces took the win in a match that has yet to produce an actual program.
  • WWE announced their ‘Road to Royal Rumble’ Euro tour for 2026; dates can be found on the WWE website.
