Curtis Thinks He's A Number 1 WR

After his 1,110 yards receiving in his debut season as an Eagle Curtis thinks he's number one WR and is ready to prove it to the fans. In a town where it has become and obession ,it's going to be hard for Curtis to prove that he's such a player especially when some fans are still living in the days when Owens was part of this team. IMO Curtis is a solid #2, yeah he had a little over 1000 yards in WR, but at times he just didnt show up he dropped some passes and became invisible at the wrong times during last season. To me a # 1 has to be there in every game, you cant shine one weekend and go dim the next. You have to make the the opposing the defense account for you on every play, and I dont think Curtis is a player that opposing coaches feel the have to game plan for him, I could be wrong but I just dont see it. I would love for him to florish and become the number one WR he feels he is and that we as fans arent seeing. And he might juist do it, I wont put the man down, I mean he got that 1000 yards with an ailing McNabb, not with McNabb back healthy and strong, maybe Curtis will give us a repeat performance or better, I cant wait for the season to start, I'll be keeping my eyes on Curtis ot see how he improves on his numbers and play from last year. S what do you think Curtis will bring us in his second year as an Eagle?

CURTIS IS A NUMBER 1! GIVE HIM ONE MORE YEAR IN THIS HARD TOUGHT OFFENSE... HE IS A PHENOMINAL RECEIVER.

AMEN...
You took the words right out of my mouth DM5LOVER.
The truth is a #1 receiver is a dependable receiver, and even in his first season, Kevin Curtis has proved to be a dependable target. He deserves the benefit of the doubt, he is talented and has a good work ethic, he will become better this season now that he has adjusted past his first year with the offense. We have seen good things and can expect better from him.

love the guy to death...but hes been in this offense for his whole career at STL and then here...sorry haha

Yeah if the games like Against The Vikings an Seahawks and Bears an Jets Are Any Givens He Makes some Great Acrobatical Catches That Most WR dont Catch an If they Do they Dont Secure it.... Kevin On the Other Hands Makes The Catch and secures It.... I think He will Be our 1st WR.... I think last yr should Stats Should Open Up Defenses Eyes This Coming Yr... Because If he gets A record like that or better He will Bring Headaches to the Defenses An he aint the only Speedster.... I think the only Slow Person is Tra Thomas( he isnt LOL as much) Speed Kills..... Kevin Will be at 1300 with about 10 tds this yr....

Can u guys Imagine Kevin Having Another game this season like he did Against detriot.... This Yrs Difference He will be used More than Here An There like he was Last yr... As u can See from his interviews on PE.com he isnt Satisfied an he knows he can do better... Some of us think Dag what more can u ask for this Fellow if He knows what he Can Do better Lets Listen because he is True an will Prove it..... He got the Offense an QB to Prove it............

What Better QB to make a WR Shine That was what 3rd string in St. Louis With marc bulger.... Now he is top in our WRs.....

but if we did get an upgrade at receiver like a boldin or a chad johnson or even something crazy like the stallworth deal something like that...curtis will be in the slot and have a year like wes welker....he'd be up in the 100-120 catch range

With who DMAC

He is a good and fast reciever but he isnt tall like Donovan Mcnabb wants. He wants someone big and tall like Boldin and Chad Johnson. If we had a tall big reciever he could be the Wes Welker of the Eagles

Tall isn't everything...
Good route running and speed work much better than just height and frame. Steve Smith has proved it, as well as Devin Hester. The west coast offense does not require a large frame, it requires dependable hands, and we haven't had that in a long time. Reggie is tall and has a big frame, yet there is massive improvement to be made concerning his dependability. Curtis has stepped into the role nicely, and will continue to flourish...

He steps up.
I love my squad, but I havent heard anyone else announce that they were the number one or even that they thought they were the number one, as if they were even defending such a status on this team.
I like Curtis. He came into a new atmosphere (team AND citywise), learned a new offense, and threw 1000 yards on the table.
If he wants it, he's gonna get it.
Until anyone else knocks him down, he's the number one.

so Curtis is equal to a Moss? (santana or randy) or a Steve Smith? Or a Chad Johnson? or a Reggie Wayne? or... and I hate to say this but a T.O.? Listen, I love the EAGLES... but i gotta be honest... there is no #1 receiver on the team right now... why do you think we were pursuing options recently???

he had a 1110 yds because the only other receiver we had was b-west!!! it's not like reggie was gonna catch abything but a cold!!!! curtis is a good receiver but a number onecan break out of press coverage he can't!!! a number one makes one play one t.d. drives frequently!!!! he would be awesome if we got a true number one though!!! he'd give welker a run for the money!!!

Chad Johnson Is a Great number one but how can u consider him tall... Kevin Curtis is 6'0 Reggie brown is 6'1 Last time i checked Chad Johnson and Reggie Brown Were an still are the Same Height.... I think Reggie weighs about the Same maybe a bit more.... not comparing the 2 just saying kevin is an inch shorter so it shouldnt matter

Anquan Boldin is what 6'2 6'3 thats hank Baskett.... Again IM not comparing an obviously Boldin an Johnson are Better number ones but.... If we compare We got those kinda players on our team... Greg lewis 6'0 avant 6' basket 6'3 curtis 6' reggie brown 6'1... desean is 5'10 but that dont matter we still got speed... Anyways

If the definition of #1 WR is one of the 32 best in the NFL then yes he is a #1

Yeah Regardless if he is considered in the Eyes of Many A Spectacular number one The point is that He is Number one Because we gotta Follow The Depth Chart.... Eagles Have Curtis and Reggie Bengals TJ and Johnson Patriots have Moss and welker Cowboys have TO and Glenn... Those are the top 2 WR... Now i agree ultimateff If ur the Number one on the 32 Teams on the NFL ROSTER than ur Number one...

So do u guys think we will keep Curtis outside or in the Slot an use Avant on the Outside?

i'd like to see that pip!!! not a bad call!!!

right now westbrook is our number one.

YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!!!!!!

believe me,its all on brian westbrook....we will go as far as he can take us

I think we have to keep curtis on the outside...he has good speed.. I don't think he could take the hits in the inside... I would love to see a speedster on the outside... I would like to put all rumors to rest and pick up a solid wr....

Amen and we got another speedster by the name of Desean Jackson

Curtis can be a #1 if he gets stronger. Listen In My Opinion he should stay at #2 bring Reggie in the slot and bring Avant or Baskett as #1 and find ways for our 2nd round pick Desean Jackson to get the ball. because right now if u really our #1 reciever to line as so find an other RB because Westbrook is that

Eagles receivers are simply not good. Curtis basically got all his stats against the terrible lions defense. Come on Eagles will never be a super bowl threat until they get a legit #1 receiver and a good front 7

It's ok that Kevin Curtis believes that he's a #1 WR. Everyone is responsible for motivating themselves and I feel that a pro football player has to have a high level of self-confidence.But let's face it...He's not. Kevin Curtis is a very good receiver. He even would look better if he had other very good receivers to play with. But;the reality is that he should be playing with or behind a great receiver inorder for this team to reach a super bowl.No matter how confident Andy Reid is in his "system" or how anyone tries to down play the importance of a #1 WR in the west coast offense;we need a big play WR. Just think back to the 3 straight NFC championship games we lost. All those teams had big play wide receivers.

I know one thing. White Lightning won't be up in da' club poppin bottles like the Raiders #1 receiver was. hahaha

He is a #1 in my opinion. Hes not an upper teir #1, like T.O. or a Chad Johnson, but I think hes in that 10-15th range as far as #1s. Problem is not Curtis, Kevin has #1 speed, good hands and runs good routes. The problem is our supposed #2, Reggie showed flashes in his first couple of years but the guy has the WORST hands of ANY starting WR in football. Thats forgiveable to an extent if he is super fast or runs crisp routes, but he hasn't proven hes able to do that either. So while everyone whines and moans about a #1 its time to realize that if there are only 10-15 #1s better than Curtis and those teams arent giving them up, we have to look deeper and to me that means looking into our #2.

Reggie's days might be numbered. If he doesnt produce this year, I could see Jackson starting next year in the 2 spot and Curtis at 1

yeah reggie clown does suck!!!!

if the birds would have kept owens any receiver would work, look what he did for todd pinkston..thats a perfect example what happens when you have a guy drawinng double coverage

No Reggie Brown has just had some inconsistent plays that i think he would like to Play an fix just like any WR.... 2 yrs in the NFL an he already has 18 TDs an a little over 2000 yrds so he caught the ball 150 times for a little over 2000 yds an 18 tds.... So thats Decent.... not a number one but it better that for the first 2 yrs than less yrds an hardly any TDs....

Another thing guys check out my blog on why i think the eagles will go 11-5 comment my blog Go Eagles

With Reid calling the shots the Eagles could reincarnate Lynn Swan and jerry Rice and still not produce yards much less TD's. The man can't even get plays in before the clock has run down to zippo much less design an offense that makes the best use of his players. OK, last year his mind was somewhere else than on the Eagles but zeesh do you really think he will do any better this season??? I'd like to see the Birds get an outstanding offensive coordinator and put the play calling in his hands and let Andy ride the bench.
