IRVING - Just before the Cowboys offense went back onto the field with 3:33 left in Sunday night's game against Philadelphia, Marion Barber delivered a message to the defense via Keith Brooking. "He told Brooking he was going to put them away," Wade Phillips said Monday. It was a promise Barber kept. With the Cowboys nursing the lead by the final 20-16 score, Barber ripped off a 16-yard run on first down. After Barber picked up 7 yards on his next two carries, Tony Romo completed a 5-yard pass to Jason Witten that sealed the win. Barber finished the fourth quarter with 29 yards on five carries. "That was big for us at the end of the game," Phillips said. For the game, Barber cranked out 50 yards on 12 attempts for a robust 4.2 average, showing no signs of the bruised quad that's plagued him most of the season.
