The San Francisco 49ers have the most draft picks of any NFL team, but they still would like to bring an accomplished veteran such as Charles Woodson to their secondary to compensate for the loss of All-Pro safety Dashon Goldson. While rumors float that the team’s other safety Donte Whitner could be a June salary cap casualty, it’s hard to imagine a team with Super Bowl aspirations would go into the season without significant experience on their last line of defense. It’s risky, even in a safety rich draft to expect a rookie to come in and play at a very high level, so Woodson would make a good fit. Team GM Trent Baalke hasn’t ruled out bringing Woodson on board. “We had a great visit with Charles when he was here,” Baalke said, via the team’s website. “We feel he can still play the game. That’s something we’ll continue to look at.”   var switchTo5x=true; stLight.options({publisher:''});
