CBSSports.com NFL Insider Jason La Canfora reports 49ers quarterback Alex Smith will not play Monday night against the Bears because of a concussion suffered Week 10. ESPN first reported Smith had not been cleared to play despite practicing during the week, however, he wore a non-contact jersey each day. Colin Kaepernick will start in Smith's absence.
