The Tennessee Volunteers' stellar offseason just took a step in the wrong direction.
On Thursday evening, 4-star linebacker Kevin Mouhon announced his decision to decommit from Tennessee, via his official Twitter page.
While Mouhon seems to be happy with his decision, don't expect the Vols to be smiling about it anytime soon.
The news came just four days after the Norcross, Ga., native made an official visit to Cincinnati’s campus.
“I just felt like I had better opportunities elsewhere,” Mouhon said afterwards, via 247Sports’ Ryan Callahan.
Although he hasn’t listed any front-runners to secure his services, the Bearcats are believed to be the best bet, according to 247Sports' "Crystal Ball," especially given that Mouhon’s older brother Silverberry plays defensive end for the team.
Ironically, the older Mouhon played under Tennessee head coach Butch Jones during Jones' tenure at Cincinnati from 2010 to 2012.
