Irony is part of the NFL. The Jaguars struggled through much of the Jack Del Rio era chasing the Colts. Now that Peyton Manning is gone, the Jaguars have yet to lose to the Colts under Blaine Gabbert. Oh the irony. Here's 5 quick things that the Jaguars can do to keep the streak going. 1) Defense (again)Once again, it's all about the defense. Hopefully they decide to show up today. Hopefully. 2)#BG11I'm turning BG11 into a thing, and make no mistake about it, this is a game he can shine in. The Colts have a very poor defense that should hemorrhage yards on the ground and through the air. I'm thinking 30 points for the Jaguars' offense would be a nice way to get the season moving in the right direction. 3) Maurice Jones-DrewJones-Drew has historically been very good against the Colts. He should be able to keep that going today. 4) Special TeamsThe Jaguars should be able to flip field position and nail long field goals in Indianapolis. The Jaguars need to cap...

NFL Scout: “Peyton Manning can’t throw the ball anymore.”

With the Denver Broncos now off to a 1-2 to start, people have noticed that Peyton Manning isn’t getting the ball out of his hands the way he used too.  In his defense though, he’s still rehabbing, so we know he’s not 100 percent healthy. One NFL scout told Albert Breer of the NFL Network that “Peyton Manning can’t throw the ball anymore.” I think that’s a little harsh...

So Maybe Peyton Manning should of retired

Maybe Peyton Manning should of stayed injured and retired. Not because he is playing bad currently, Manning Sunday versus the Houston Texans was 25/51 for 310 yards with 2 Tds and no picks.  But maybe because Matt Schaub threw for four touchdowns and his Broncos defense is a steaming pile. Houston Texans are the real deal at 3-0, but Denver right now looks like an Arena League...

Manning will still challenge Texans defense

HOUSTON Wade Phillips took a preemptive strike at the "Peyton Manning is finished" angle Thursday. "I know it's going to be asked so I'm going to go ahead and make my statement," the Houston Texans defensive coordinator said. "Peyton Manning looks like the same guy he's always been." No sense poking the bear, even if it does have a neck...

Daily Links: Denver Broncos News – 9/24/12

Denver Broncos News A second straight week of frustrating football for us Denver Broncos fans, but at least Peyton Manning has been able to make the scores respectable. [BroncoTalk] The highlight reels are tough to watch for the first half, but the second half of the video is entertaining enough! [DenverBroncos.com] It wasn’t just Peyton Manning who struggled early, the Orange...

Fox, Del Rio fined for abusing refs

Denver Broncos head coach John Fox has been fined $30,000 and defensive coordinator Jack Del Rio has been docked $25,000 for verbal abuse of the replacement officials. They were fined for their actions in last Monday night's loss in Atlanta. NFL executive vice president of football operations Ray Anderson says he is reviewing incidents from Sunday night's New England-Baltimore...

Schaub outduels Manning, Texans move to 3-0

DENVER (AP) -- Fall behind by 20. Lose by six. Take away those ugly incompletions and this failed comeback should have felt plenty familiar to Peyton Manning. For the second straight game, Manning's comeback from way down came up short for the Denver Broncos. Matt Schaub threw for four touchdowns against a confused Broncos defense Sunday to stake the Houston Texans to a big...

Eli Manning’s Brother Number 18 Denver Broncos Jersey

TweetNo doubt Eli Manning has yet to reach his brother's status as one of the best quarterbacks ever. But this season may turn out to be the one where people think of the older Manning as Eli's brother, this Denver Broncos fan seems to be on the same wave length. I don't think it can be disputed that the New York Giants QB is more clutch than Peyton Manning ever was.

Can the Jaguars find a win?

After a brutal stretch of injuries, Blaine Gabbert, Maurice Jones-Drew and the Jacksonville Jaguars are at 0-2 and facing a tough road ahead to recover from. Luckily this week, they get a team in the Indianapolis Colts, that are coming together and trying to gel and learn the right way to do things. The Jaguars are in the same situation. With a second year QB that still struggles...

NFL cuts refs slack for not knowing jack

Senior Executives of the NFL have been getting in touch with all of the teams in the league this week. General Managers, Owner’s and Coaches were all contacted and told that they would be subject to punishment for verbally abusing or yelling at the replacement referees like in the case of Jack Del Rio and John Fox on Monday night. All I have to say is “Really?!” It’s a little...

Schaub outduels Manning in Texans' victory

DENVER -- Matt Schaub outdueled Peyton Manning even as he fought through a physical pounding that cost him a little piece of his ear. Schaub matched a career best by throwing for four touchdown passes, and the Houston Texans held off the Denver Broncos 31-25 Sunday for the first 3-0 start in the team's 10-year history. Shaking off a sack in the end zone that resulted in...

Broncos Sunday Primer: 3 Things To Watch

There is something about a good NFL match up, and now with the 2-0 Houston Texans looking for their first ever 3-0 start in franchise history, only the Denver Broncos stand in the way. Add an old nemesis named Peyton Manning to the equation, the stakes are a little higher for the Texans to get to some uncharted territory. The Texans are 1-2 all time against the Denver Broncos...

Falcons are shaping up as well as any team

It's only three games in, but right now the Atlanta Falcons look as if they are as good as any team in the NFL. With new offensive and defensive coordinators, their makeover appears a success as they improved to 3-0 on Sunday by putting a 27-3 thumping on San Diego, one of only six remaining unbeaten teams in the league. Sunday had set up as a classic "letdown" game...

Gabbert starts for Jags; Colts' Freeney inactive

Jacksonville quarterback Blaine Gabbert will start Sunday, while Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney and Jaguars running back Rashad Jennings are both inactive. Freeney (ankle) will be replaced by Jerry Hughes at outside linebacker. Jennings (ankle) had been listed as doubtful. Indy's Seth Olsen will replace the injured Joe Reitz (knee) at left guard. Reitz hasn't played...

Houston at Denver NFL Week 3 Preview: Will Peyton Bounce Back Against The Texans D?

Arian Foster and the powerful Texans offense have not been broken a sweat through two games this season, but they will be grasping for some air at the Mile High. Peyton Manning is back and is not better than ever since everybody feels as if they are an expert of some sort when breaking down arguably the greatest quarterback that has ever lived. Manning struggled miserably against...
