Ask any injured Indianapolis Colts player his status and he's going to say, "I'm day to day." I was somewhat surprised to see DE Dwight Freeney in the locker room today, then he pronounced he, too, was "day to day" despite reports he will miss at least the next two games with a strained right quadriceps. Freeney says he's a fast healer and sounds as anxious as a man can be to get back on the field. (Will have more from Freeney's chat in another post.) Ran into MLB Gary Brackett today, too. I mentioned a report passed along to me from someone who heard something from a local TV station (yeah, that sounds real solid) about the defensive captain being out for the season with a left knee injury.
