Imagine What He'd Be Hitting If He Felt Good

According to Marc Carig, Joe Girardi said today that Derek Jeter has been petty sick lately.“I noticed it on Monday,” Girardi said. “And he was pretty sick. He was still pretty sick yesterday. I’m hoping that he feels better, but it didn’t seem to affect him Monday his first at-bat. That’s just the type of player that Derek is. He’s tough.”Well it doesn't look...

When Derek Jeter recalls the last time the New York Yankees got this close to the World Series, he gets chills down his spine that have nothing to do with the cold he's fighting.

If Derek Jeter Doesn't React To It, Did It Really Happen?

Meh. Their hired, obese gun did a great job tonight. Note: It wasn't a blowout, they just tacked on a bunch when the game was over. After the first call where the ump looked right at an out but said safe, I was pretty pissed. But after the second one, where the guy looked right at the funniest double play of all time but for some reason only called one of the two clearly tagged...

Four Questions With Jake Magner

Jake Magner is a junior infielder from the University of North Dakota. He is probably the best baseball player in the State of North Dakota. He hit .393/673/459 in 168 at-bats for the Fighting Sioux last year. He smacked 10 homers and drove in 51 as well last year.Jake spent this past summer playing for the Edenton Steamers of the Coastal Plain League. He hit .310/540/397 in 187...

CC's Gem Sets up Yanks One Win Away From Series

ON THE MOUND:CC Sabathia's second gem of the series was enough to do away with any momentum the Angels gained yesterday. The Yankees pounded the Angels 10-1 tonight in Anaheim to pull to within one game of the pennant. CC was once again masterful as he dominated the Angels over eight innings, allowing just one earned run on five hits, walked two, and struck out five. He had everything...
