The man's got guts. That's for sure. Joe Girardi has at least that going for him. Yesterday, Girardi removed a perfect David Robertson with two out in the 11th inning in favor of Alfredo Aceves. We all know what happened after that. The Yankees got beaten at their own walk-off game. Afterward, he defended his decision this way:"It's just different kind of stuff against those hitters. And we have all the match ups, and all the scouting reports, and we felt that, you know, it was a better match up for us." [Bombers Beat]No glory in that remark. No guts either, for that matter. No guts to say, "I was wrong." What I don't understand is why Girardi waited until the postseason to put on this "Guts and Glory Show." In other words, why did he wait until the postseason to do all of this over-managing? Not over-managing is what got him to the postseason!I guess he was too busy working on "The Joe Girardi Show.&...
