Nationals to Fire Acta
FOXSports.com's Ken Rosenthal is reporting that the Nationals will fire manager Manny Acta and replace him with bench coach Jim Riggleman. Acta has been with the team since the 2007 season, and has done a fairly good job despite poor records. Nats activate Wells, send Bergmann down
Right-hander Kip Wells has been activated from the 15-day disabled list by the Washington Nationals, who optioned right-hander Jason Bergmann to Triple-A Syracuse.
Wells, 0-2 with a 6.26 ERA and two saves in 19 appearances for the Nationals, went on the disabled list May 31 with a right adductor strain, a move retroactive to May 31.
