But if you’re only going to have one backup at safety, shouldn’t it be a better cover guy? I mean, you can find strong safeties a lot easier than you can find cover guys. So in a pinch, it’s easier to pick up a guy who can play down low in the box than a guy who can play up top. Plus, we know Phillips and Michael Johnson can both play down low. So shouldn’t Reese & Co. have looked for more of a free safety in free agency than Brown? The list of safeties available was quite long, and if they didn’t like any of them, they should have used one of...
