Wizards 2-5 vs. Miami 5-1 11/10 7:30 P.M   Head to Head Stat: The Wizards have lost five in a row against Miami after winning four in a row the season before. Keys to the Game: Do your best against Wade, but neutralize the rest of the team. Make his teammates beat you. Consistant scoring, one or two good quarters isn't strong enough Randy Foye and Caron Butler need to score. When those two are scoring threats it makes it harder for the opposing team to gaurd the whole team. Make the extra pass. Flip talked about this after the Suns game. The offense just wont work without it. The Story: These two teams entered 2009 expecting to be competing for a spot atop the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference. After seven games, the Heat are first in the division at 5-1 and the Wizards are last at 2-5. Not quite what the Washingtonians have hoped for. The Wizards have been tampered by injuries. First with their Captain Antawn Jamison, and now with swingman Mike Mil...

Wizard to sign Earl Boykins

With Randy Foye going down last night to an ankle injury, the injury bug officially became a plague. Now on the injured list for the Wizards is their team captain, Antawn Jamison, swingman Mike Miller, Foye, and back up point gaurds Mike James and Javaris Crittenton. Foye's injury put the Wizards in such a tight spot last night that Deshawn Stevenson and Nick Young were being...

Tom Knott: Not taking a pass at working together

The Wizards already are immersed in self-doubt. They are out of sync and out of sorts, found wanting in purpose and cohesiveness. They are not a pretty sight, whether it is Caron Butler missing three shots at the rim or Randy Foye, inexplicably, making an ill-advised move to the basket before halftime that allowed the Suns enough time to sink a 3-pointer. The latter prompted assistant...

Wizards: Another loss, more injuries

After two seasons destroyed by injuries, the Wizards thought they might get a break this year. But that’s not the Wizards Way. The two big acquisitions the Wizards made during the offseason, trading for G/F Mike Miller and G Randy Foye, are out with injuries 8 games into the season. Miller could be out for [...]

Lakers Trade For Kwame Brown

The Los Angeles Lakers [my team] are set to deal Caron Butler and Chucky Atkins to the Washington Wizards for Kwame Brown. The Wiz could decide on replacing Atkins with Devean George...but LA would prefer to keep the triangle-knowing George around. You want my honest opinion?? I don't like the deal. Not that I HATE the deal....I just don't like it. With all of the trade...

Marc Stein of ESPN.com is reporting that the guard-depleted Wizards plan to sign veteran Earl Boykins. Wizards guard Randy Foye sprained his right ankle during Tuesday's game against the Miami Heat. And guards Javaris Crittenton, Mike James and Mike Miller were already out with injuries. Boykins, 33, spent last season in Europe playing for Virtus Bologna in Italy's top division...

Haywood left off all-star ballot

It's me again. (Photo by Ned Dishman/NBAE via Getty Images) The NBA released its ballot for the 2010 All-Star Game on Tuesday and Gilbert Arenas, Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler represent the Washington Wizards. But chosen by a panel of six scribes who selected the 120 names, Brendan Haywood isn't one of the 12 best centers in the Eastern Conference. Really? The list of 12...
