I’m not going to add much commentary in this post. I’ll like to read your thoughts first. I’ll add my opinions later in the comments. With the exception of one photo, all of them are taken at US Cellular Field so the camera angle is the same. Unfortunately mlb.tv had a ****** feed last year so the 2008 images aren’t exactly the easiest things to look at. The image on the left is 2008 and the image on the right is 2009.

I wish I knew how to put together an animated gif. I’m sure I could learn, but it would take some time that I don’t have. These pictures don’t do justice in highlighting the differences between 2008 and 2009 Bradley as a left-handed batter. The video or animated gif would be much more informative, but this is what we have.

I'm taking the weekend off from TCR to spend some much needed time with the family, although I probably will be around parachat for some of the games. We did have a decent chat crowd last night for the opener which always makes it more fun.

Randy Wells continued his solid pitching effort and Derrek Lee hit a two run first inning homer as the Cubs took two of three at PNC.
Wells evened his record at 3-3 (he's won his last three starts) and lowered his ERA below 2.50. He went seven and allowed one run on six hits (five singles and a double) and one walk.
Lee's homer was all Wells would need. The Pirates only run...

We have the big holiday weekend coming up and the big four-game series to go with it. The Milwaukee Brewers lead the NL Central by a game over the St. Louis Cardinals and 3.5 up on our Cubs. Tonight was my first real chance to see Virgil Vasquez after missing his start against the Royals over the weekend, and I saw about what I expected; a guy with stuff that's maybe a little better than Jeff Karstens, but certainly not a long-term rotation option who also happens to wear Demetri Martin's hair on the mound. This isn't a bad thing. There's always a role...
