Found October 18, 2009 on NE Patriots Draft:

Christmas came early for Tom Brady and the rest of the Patriots in Foxborough this Sunday. Playing through slush and snow, the throwback clad Patriots carved up the patchwork Titans secondary with ease, leading to a healthy 59-0 win. One thing for sure is that the British have to be getting nervous... hearing all those musket shots and having the Patriots coming to London next week.

The first quarter was a defensive battle, with each team struggling to find their footing. Laurence Maroney finally found his, taking off for a 45-yard TD run and giving the Patriots a 10-0 lead. Maroney ran hard all day, ending with 123 yards on 16 carries.

A record performance in the second frame put the game out of reach for the Titans/Oilers, as Tom Brady connected with three Patriot receivers for five total touchdowns in the 2nd quarter, breaking the mark last set by Donovan McNabb in 2004. Brady would finish with six on the day, three to Moss, two to Welker, and one to Kevin Faulk.

Kerry Collins, meanwhile, had a miserable day. Patriot defensive backs hounded the Titan receivers, and even when they could get open they forgot to catch the ball. Darius Butler, Brandon McGowan, and Brandon Meriweather were instrumental in delivering big hits and creating turnovers. Chris Johnson and Lendale White were a non-factor, as the Titans were playing catchup the entire day. In other news, Vince Young still sucks--his first pass this year was picked off by Pats rookie safety Pat Chung.
