Sportsday:
What will the four-letter network do this week now that Tony Romo and Roy Williams seem to be finding their timing a little more?
They teamed up for five catches and 75 yards in the win over Philadelphia. It's the first game with as many as five catches for Williams since he joined the Cowboys last October. He had a seven-catch game when he was thrown to 18 times while with Detroit on October 5, 2008. He was traded to the Cowboys nine days later.
He has had more yardage since joining the Cowboys. He had 86 yards on three catches against Tampa Bay, though 66 of those yards came on a TD pass. That was a slant across the middle that was timed well on both ends. The catch that got him going on Sunday was also a slant. Wonder if the Cowboys will start throwing that route to him more. It seems like most of the passes for Williams have been run towards the sidelines.

When the Cowboys run
Averaging 147.6 yards a game on the ground, the Cowboys are ranked sixth in the NFL but haven't had a running back have a 100-yard game since Week 2. Philadelphia hasn't allowed a rusher to have more than 87 yards in a game this year, but they have shown a tendency to wear down. Plus Marion Barber and Felix Jones are healthier. EDGE: Cowboys

Reveling In Others' Misfortunes
Today was a great sports day for me....considering that NONE of my favorite teams actually played today.
It started off grand as I watched Duke lose, at home, to Virginia Tech. Now, V-Tech is a veteran squad....especially by current ACC standards....but they aren't in the top half in the conference this year. Still, it was nice to see that the Hokies "out-Duke'd"...
