Here at Bugs&Cranks, we’ve learned that the only bad publicity is no publicity. That’s why we’re delighted that amNY, a print outfit of some renown in our nation’s largest city, published a quote from our own Emma Span. She relays a charming anecd0te involving a plastic likeness of a former Bronx centerfielder. As the game unfolds, the talisman ends up under her bed. I’ve had nightmares about Bernie Williams under my bed. But check out amNY’s description of your favorite baseball humor blog, highlighted in yellow by the obsessive David Chalk. "Yankees blog?!" Heaven knows, we’ve been called a lot of things. But “Yankees blog” … that’s a first. Chalk wanted to lead some kind of campaign to get amNY to undo this slur....
