Palmeiro used the platform to again deny having knowingly used steroids.
“I made a mistake,” Palmeiro told ESPN’s Pedro Gomez. “I didn’t really understand what I was taking and I paid for it. I paid for it very dearly. Life goes on.”

Don't believe Palmerio one bit. He willingly let a teammate inject him with someone not fully knowing what it is. Please.

i agree with hockeychick, I don't believe him at all.

Of all the steroid cheats, only Barry Bonds is worse than this tool. He wagged his finger at congress and then proceeded to get caught with one of the worst anabolic steroids of all in his system. Not only is he a cheat but he is really stupid as well.

Hernandez Leads the Way, Huff Homers, O's Win Against Angels, 6-4
The Orioles snapped a two game skid as they won against the Angels, 6-4, out in Anaheim last night. Rookie David Hernandez showed himself to be major-league worthy as he kept the Los Angeles lineup -- one of the better in baseball -- at bay as he went 6 1/3 innings and allowed three runs on six hits. Hernandez was not perfect in any sense of the word, but his teammates gave up a...

Hernandez surrendered six hits and walked two before Jim Johnson and George Sherrill got the final seven outs.
The Baltimore Bullpen Blowup: Angels 11, Orioles 4
There's a bunch to write about here, and for once, the danger is that I'll forget some of it; usually it comes to me about 24 hours after, but this was actually a pretty entertaining game (something I've said twice today). Howie Kendrick made a semi-competent comeback, the Angels stomped on a bad team (though one wonders what the O's would do transmigrated into the...
Pick of the DayTonight I'm going with the Angels as my pick of the day (POTD). Jeremy Guthrie is starting for the Orioles and he's been solid as of late but the Orioles are generally not a good road team and after the excitement from the past 2 games and cross country travel - I'm guessing the team as a whole will be emotionally and physically just a step behind. The...
