It seems that a down year for the BIG 10 Conference combined with the continued and justified love for the SEC is hurting Ohio State’s case to be considered for the BCS National Championship. Here are a few factors to consider when making an argument for the Buckeyes.
1. They could end the season winning 25 straight (currently owns the longest win streak).
2. Alabama, Oregon or Florida State could lose (even in their own Conference Championship Title Game). Alabama still has to face LSU, Auburn and likely East Division winner Missouri or South Carolina. Oregon still has to face UCLA, a very good BCS worthy Stanford team and then likely UCLA or Arizona State in the PAC-12 Championship. Florida State has to win possibly against upset minded Miami twice.
3. Baylor is in a Conference where Texas could win the Title. But the Bears would have to win against Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Oklahoma State.
4. Urban Meyer: this is the coach who has 20 game win streaks with 3 different schools (Ut...

Ohio State 9-0 (5-0 BIG 10) gave another dominant performance in their shut-out win against Purdue 1-7 (0-4 BIG 10). The Buckeyes denied the Boilermakers any points, winning 56-0. Braxton Miller was efficient passing the ball Saturday afternoon, going 19 of 23 for 233 yards and 4 TDs. The Buckeyes are possibly facing another undefeated season and another pass at a National Championship...
It looks as if Ohio State is beating up on the Big Ten, but that's actually backward. The truth is this:
The Big Ten is killing Ohio State.
The Buckeyes can't win in this conference. They beat Purdue 56-0 Saturday, and this just happened to be one of those moments when a 56-0 win actually is a loss.
Ohio State could have won by whatever score coach Urban Meyer wanted....
Ohio State quarterback Braxton Miller rolled out to the far side of the field and was looking for a wide receiver to throw to. When he couldn’t find one that was open, he started to scramble and at the last second, he flipped the ball to his wide receiver who was wide open in the end zone. Plays like these show why Miller is such a dangerous football player.
The saying goes that those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. With that in mind, Ohio State went into Ross-Ade Stadium on Saturday fully aware of the Buckeyes' recent struggles in West Lafayette. The result, then, was a blowout win going the other way.
Currently 9-0 and with the nation’s largest winning streak at 21 games the Ohio State Buckeyes are having trouble getting past 4th in the A.P and BCS polls. Alabama, Oregon, and Florida State are all undefeated and very dominating teams but Ohio State has its own reason to be feared with dual threat quarterback Braxton […]
The Ohio State Buckeyes traveled to Ross-Ade Stadium to take on the Purdue Boilermakers on Saturday and quite a few fans followed them to say the least. The Buckeyes scored four first quarter touchdowns to take a 28-0 lead and the mostly Buckeye crowd loved it. It’s pretty sad how much red is in that stadium.
Taking care of a few things here today, first and foremost. Ohio State is now 9 – 0, 21 and 0 total on the win loss record. the magic number is three. I was not able to see today’s game because it was on the Big Ten Network. It is the one frustration living overseas. Waking up to the awesome news of a 56 – 0 spanking of Purdue was more than wonderful news...
The Ohio State hockey program lost some depth in net when sophomore Collin Olson chose to leave the program.

Well its week 10 of the College football season and that means that the season is almost over, and that is depressing. So let’s not think about that yet and enjoy these last few weeks. Our Buckeyes take on those damn Boilermakers on Saturday and the Buckeyes always struggle against them so let’s hope the boys jump out to a huge lead in the first and never let up.
Ohio State raced to another blowout victory Saturday afternoon by posting a 56-0 pasting of Purdue. There are a number of players who stood out and are deserving of Buckeye Leaves; we pick our players of the game and want to hear from you, too.
The first season under Darrell Hazell has not gone well so far for Purdue, but the Boilermakers could be hard to prepare for based on all the new things going on in West Lafayette lately. We take a closer look at both sides of the ball.

It was a banner day for Jeff Heuerman and the Ohio State tight ends against Purdue. Heuerman had one of the best days in recent memory when it came to receiving while Nick Vannett added his first career score as the Buckeyes' offense continued to spread the ball around.
