Plaschke, Thy Sweater Is Argyle:
A pair of recent pickups, and cheap pickups at that. This Baron Davis auto is pretty sweet for a couple of reasons. First, it's an on-card auto. Second, it features Baron in his UCLA attire. Third, Davis has an awesome beard now, and I'm a man who appreciates good facial hair and sick beards. For a buck twenty-nine from my LCS's eBay store, it's even sweeter. Also, this is one supremely aesthetically-pleasing piece of cardboard. I absolutely love the design of the 1999-2000 UD SP Top Prospects Vital Signs set of signatures. All in all, a nice addition to my UCLA PC.I'm a big, big, HUGE Luca Sbisa fan. I was stoked when the Ducks acquired him in the Chris Pronger deal, and with Cam Fowler, the Ducks have the makings of a dynamite blueline for the next decade, especially with some great reinforcements on the way in Matt Clark, Sami Vatanen, and a handful of other guys with upside. Also, when you routinely see stuff like this, it's hard not to like the guy. A 9...

New York Knicks coach Mike D'Antoni believes that injured guard Baron Davis remains on schedule to return to action.
As for a precise date, well, D'Antoni isn't ready to go that far.
"I don't know about this week, but next week, yes," D'Antoni told the New York Post. "He's still on schedule. If that's the third of February, the fifth,...
I guarantee when the season started, the New York Knicks didn’t think they’d be 6-6 after 12 games. After acquiring Tyson Chandler in the offseason to go along with Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire, the Knicks looked like they could contend for one of the top spots in the East.
Now, after a disappointing .500 start to the season, the Knicks are hoping Baron Davis can...

What’s on Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni’s mind? Not only the return from injury of Carmelo Anthony, but also the looming Knicks debut of Baron Davis.
Davis is getting closer and closer to returning from a herniated disk and a person familiar with the situation said the guard will take a big leap in his rehab this [...]
In the last 18 months, the Knicks have added Amar'e Stoudemire, Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler to their roster.
Given the results they generated last season and the hype they generated during the truncated run-up to this season, you wouldn't imagine that the Knicks would be looking for another savior quite so quickly. And yet, 13 games into this season with a 6-7 record...
The Knicks need a productive point guard. Is Baron Davis that player?
The Knicks won’t have Baron Davis for today’s matinee against the Magic at the Garden, and likely will be without Carmelo Anthony, as well.
But, at least in Davis’ case, his long-awaited debut continues to creep ever closer, with Knicks coach Mike D’Antoni saying yesterday Davis remains...

This is the coach's contract year, did it ever occur to you all that he wants out of NY as coach in the
worst way but quietly
It has become Baron or Bust for the Knicks.
How scary is that?
In a telling moment before yesterday’s 102-93 Martin Luther King Day matinee defeat to the Magic, coach Mike D’Antoni was asked five straight questions on the exact timetable of Baron Davis’ first practice and scrimmage...
