CSNNE's Sherrod Blakely posted a piece on Al Jefferson's return to Boston after the Celtics-Jazz game on Wednesday night. While most of the discussion about Big Al related to Jeff Green's monster dunk on him, Jefferson scored 13 points and grabbed 14 rebounds against the Celtics, and Doc Rivers highly touted his former player:
"He just keeps getting better and better," Rivers said. "The thing that I
thought I'd never say about Al, but Al's becoming a better passer and
I'm very happy about that for him."
While Jefferson is focused on his role in Utah this year, free agency is just around the corner for him. His $15 million dollar contract is up at the end of the season, and he will be an unrestricted free agent in 2013. And Boston is definitely on Big Al's mind:
Jefferson has said he's focused on doing all he can to get the Jazz
back to the playoffs for the second straight year, but added that he
would consider a ret...

Threes were a charm for the Utah Jazz on Monday.
North of the border, the Jazz took on the Raptors for what was billed as 48 minutes of basketball. The teams went over that allotment by 15 minutes, though, as they took part in not one, not two, but three overtimes at the Air Canada Center.
The game featured clutch 3-pointers by Paul Millsap and former Celtic Al Jefferson — yes...
They call him "Big Al" but on this particular play during last night's Celtics-Jazz game, Al Jefferson was reduced to "Little Al" by Jeff Green.

Jeff Green destroyed Al Jefferson with a monstrous, soul-crushing dunk on Wednesday night in Boston.
The Boston Celtics forward took a pass in the corner and drove to the hole where he elevated from the middle of the paint and just slammed one down on the Jazz big man. Green then stared down Jefferson for good measure, receiving a technical foul for taunting.
Not only did his teammates...
Jeff Green is back this season after missing all of last year with a heart condition. This wasn't a bad way to get his name back out there. Green had a huge slam dunk over Al Jefferson in the fourth quarter of the Celtics win over the Jazz tonight that turned a few eyes. Check out the dunk below and hopefully Mr. Green will have more to come.

Halfway through the fourth quarter of the Utah Jazz and Boston Celtics game, Jeff Green of the Celtics found some superhuman leaping abilities and applied them accordingly. Jeff drove down the lane and dunked over two defenders, but Al Jefferson was the one who ended up on a very life-sized poster. The dunk is an easy early season candidate for dunk of the year.

8 a.m. ET: Back above .500 and quietly winners of four of their last five games, the Celtics return home from their two-game road trip to give the Utah Jazz their only taste of TD Garden cooking this season.
Al Jefferson, who has blossomed into one of the league’s best offensive big men, leads the up-and-down Jazz into Boston. After beginning the season with a win over the Mavericks...
The dunk of Wednesday night in the National Basketball Association came from Boston Celtics reserve guard Jeff Green.
Watch as Green in the fourth quarter of play throws down a vicious dunk on Utah Jazz forward Al Jefferson:
The Utah Jazz have some big decisions (pun intended) to make going forward, but the unmatched depth of their frontcourt continues to pay dividends for the time being. In Toronto, Paul Millsap, Al Jefferson, and Derrick Favors basically made all the plays throughout an exhilarating triple-overtime marathon that saw 277 total points get scored. The madness began when Jefferson knocked...

It was an unlikely hero in regulation that sent the game to overtime. And into the rabbit hole we went. Al Jefferson hit a 3-pointer that hit just about every part of the rim before falling in that sparked a triple overtime battle between the Raptors...

I’m currently stuck in traffic (where else but the pike) heading to the Garden to see the Boston Celtics take on the Utah Jazz. The Celtics are coming off of their best game of the year, beating the Bulls in Chicago 101-95 Monday night. The Jazz are 4-4 and are coming off a thrilling 140-133 triple overtime game against the Raptors. Al Jefferson sent them into OT and double OT...
