It didn’t take long for Aqib Talib to let his presence be known in the Patriots’ secondary.
The new addition picked off an Andrew Luck pass early in the second quarter, and weaved his way through the Colts’ offense for a 59-yard touchdown. Talib’s making his debut for New England after serving out the last game of his four-game suspension last week.
Take a look at Talib’s interception and impressive return in the video below.

Andrew Luck was the most hyped player to enter the draft in decades, did he have any chance of living up to the expectations? Now that we're more than half way through the season we should take a look as some of the postseason awards. We all knew that Rookie of the Year would come down to the #1 and #2 picks in the draft.
Here's a look at their seasons:
FOXBORO — Aqib Talib left a pretty memorable first impression on the New England fan base during his Patriots debut Sunday. Apparently the Patriots have left a rather remarkable impression on him, too.
“I’ve never been a part of an organization like this,” Talib said Tuesday. “It’s good to feel it in the air, the confidence that’s in this building.”

I really need to know.
Just what is an “acceptable” win for the New England Patriots?
When they win a nail-biter, the cry is that they cannot “close out” teams, they lack “killer instinct” and they don’t “step on the throat” of opposing teams when they have them down.
On the other hand, in games like yesterday’s 59-24 rout of the Indianapolis Colts, the cry turns...
It wasn't pretty and the Indianapolis Colts know it.
Now all they can do is try to bounce back after an embarrassing 59-24 loss at New England on Sunday.
The Colts had four turnovers, and two of Andrew Luck's three interceptions were returned for touchdowns. Interim coach Bruce Arians said the mistakes the rookie quarterback made were just technical errors.
Alfonzo Dennard had just one more Colts player to beat on the way to his first career touchdown in the NFL — the quarterback. The only problem is that quarterback just so happened to be Andrew Luck.
Luck tracked Dennard down during his 87-yard interception return, trying to cut off the speedy cornerback along the sideline before reaching the end zone. Luck’s athleticism and speed...
Tom E. Curran of CSNNE reports that the New England Patriots have released WR Deion Branch and CB Malcolm Williams, for the second time this year.
Both players were cut to make room for CB Aqib Talib and WR Greg Salas. Aquib was acquired a few weeks ago, however the team was forced to place him to the reserve/suspended list while he completed his four game suspension.
Can Andrew Luck carry the day for the Colts vs the Patriots? Stranger things have happened to a New England defense that has had issues stopping the pass.
NEW YORK (AP) -- Jacksonville defensive tackle Terrance Knighton has been fined 25,000 by the NFL for making helmet-to-helmet contact with Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, who was defenseless at the time.
The hit came in Indianapolis' victory Nov. 8 at Jacksonville and negated an interception by Aaron Ross.
Jaguars safety Dawan Landry was fined 10,000 for a fourth-quarter hit...
The New England Patriots took a key game in the AFC play-off picture by dismantling the Indianapolis Colts 59-24. Tom Brady (24/35, 331 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT), Rob Gronkowski (7 receptions, 137 yards, 2 TD) and Julian Edelman (5 receptions, 57 yards 1 TD/1 rush, 47 yards/68 yard punt ret. TD) starred on the offensive side of the ball, while Alfonzo Dennard and Aqib Talib (on...
I’ve been licking my chops about this one all week, since the Colts dismantled the Jaguars 9 days ago on prime time. They will be in tough as they face the AFC powerhouse Patriots. In a rivalry that used to feature the two best quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, we now have a battle between rookie quarterback sensation Andrew Luck facing off against Brady.
In the Bill Belichick...
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts, two old rivals, met Sunday for the first time since Peyton Manning moved on to Denver. Star rookie Andrew Luck is now the Indianapolis quarterback, and he showed some of the special stuff he possesses, but New England pulled away and beat the Colts 59-24 in a wild one. The Patriots tied the franchise record...
