Fight News reported Saturday that the WBO will consider installing Australian Alex Leapai as Wladimir Klitschko’s mandatory challenger. The 34-year-old Leapai (30-4-3, 24 K0s) surprisingly outscored previously undefeated Russian Denis Boytsov last weekend in Germany. Hence, the 6-foot Leapai is seeking to soon scrap the 37-year-old Klitschko (61-3, 52 KOs). Klitschko easily defended The Ring, WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight belts against inferior pugilist Alexander Povetkin in October at the Olimpiyskiy arena in Moscow.
