No. 1 Alabama faces two major challenges this week. The Crimson Tide must come back to earth from their last-minute win against No. 9 LSU and then get ready to host No. 15 Texas A&M and its high-flying offense. Saban said Monday games like the LSU contest ''can bring out either the best in you or the worst in you. It's all your choice.'' He does his part to bring a reality check to players by saying the LSU game was ''by far'' the team's worst defensive performance of the season. The Aggies appear to be the last obstacle between Alabama and the SEC championship game. Alabama needs to beat either Texas A&M or Auburn to win the SEC West and control its destiny in the national title hunt.

Alabama No. 1 in BCS for fourth straight week

The Crimson Tide remains atop the polls after coming back to beat LSU 21-17 in Death Valley Saturday. But there was a bit of a shakeup among the teams that make up the rest of the Top 10.

Crimson Tide Emerges From Death Valley 9-0 in Final Minute of Play

If I had to guess, I would imagine that for a diehard Alabama fan, watching the LSU game yesterday was about how I felt watching the 2011 Michigan/Notre Dame game (with less significant implications and more overtimes). As I was watching this SEC matchup last night, I was absolutely stunned that this was the very same LSU team that almost lost to a 2-7 Auburn team earlier this year...
